WHAT IS THE ENNEAGRAM?

It maps human experience, making sense out of the bewildering behavior we find in ourselves and in others.  But the Enneagram does so much more than describe personality type.  It is a spiritual path, with tools to release us from the confines of our personalities, so that we can find the freedom and wholeness we yearn for.

In an introduction to the Enneagram, you will learn to recognize the nine types (Reformer, Helper, Performer, Individualist, Investigator, Loyalist, Enthusiast, Challenger and Peacemaker).  You will discover what makes each type tick, what each type is looking for, and what each type is trying to avoid.  You will learn to recognize the different styles of behavior – at work and in relationships.  You will begin to identify what we are attracted to in each type and what we react to.  But most importantly, you will come to see the beauty and mystery of each type, and the extraordinary contribution that each makes to the greater good.

The word Enneagram literally means a nine-sided figure, but it represents a much deeper system of reality.  It brings together ancient religious wisdom, modern discoveries in depth psychology and mystical number theory.  It is most popular as a personality typology, describing the structure and dynamics of nine basic personality types.
